alaska fly out fishing
I'm going to Alaska this summer, no travel ideas?

I will fly to Anchorage and would like to stay in a cabin not too far. I would most prefer to experience as much of the beautiful scenery and wildlife, while I am there. I'm not looking for museums, restaurants, shows, shopping centers, or one that commercial crap. Does anyone have any suggestions for booths up to 100 miles from Anchorage? Landscape, fishing, nature, hiking, and not something very far of civilization is what we seek. I am not familiar with the climate there, either (hence the research months in advance). When is the best time in terms of the mild weather (Complete with flowers go)? Thank you dress warm? Is it not in the 60-70's in Alaska in the summer? It's about 5 degrees here in Chicago … Thank you for your reply extremely lame!

Sounds like a Forest Service or State Park cabin would be perfect for you. They are typically 10×10 with to 12'x12 'cabins bunk beds and a wood stove. There is an outhouse and when on a lake, there is a boat and rowing. They run about $ 30-40/night is much less than a hotel in the summer. One (Barber Cabin) is only 3.5 miles from the road. Others are more generally about 7-15 miles in a track. Check carefully whether you fly or when you walk in reservation before one. It is Forest Service cabins. And State Park cabins. And National Wildlife Refuge cabins. They are available for booking six months in advance to reserve so now. Weekends are becoming increasingly popular, but you're a tourist, not a local as I can find work, so you are looking for mid-week job. Yes, it is 60-70F, 75F, perhaps in South Central Alaska at Anchorage. We also get half of our precip in the summer, so be prepared to move. Which month? I recommend usually in May or September. Both are SEASON so the crowds and traffic is less. Both have a long day, but still dark nights, so that the Aurora (not possible in June-July-August) saw. The nights can on the freezing, knocking really get to the mosquitoes.
