I'm in Sacramento and do not mind driving a few hours. Help!
If I were a To bring the river, it would be the Smith River, north of the Crescent City, California. The California state record came from the Smith and steelhead over 20 pounds are caught each year. Please call in advance, as river conditions effect how or whether you can fish. orick Redwood Creek in California is another good tip for the Steelhead. There are others, but I will try to keep this brief.
