What types of lures or bait are for which types of fish?

So bought a new sharp hooks, and have nothing in it. The need to Good to know, given what some inland. It is not much about what types of fish are where, but we carry many small streams in some larger To know lakes. Any help would be great. Thanks

Bean bag, I will try to make a list of some of the most common freshwater fish species make, along with bait and lures for these fish. Here I go ~ Largemouth Bass – Bait: minnows, bluegill, worms, crabs. Bait, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, in line spinners, soft Plastic creature baits, jigs, spoons, lip-less crankbait, poppers, buzz baits, walk-the-dog-style bait / AKA cigar bait, and there are probably a few more that I should be mentioned. Smallmouth Bass – Bait: hellgrammites, small fish, worms, crabs forgotten. Bait: refer back to "Largemouth Bass" above. Smallmouth as the same lures, only in smaller sizes. Channel Catfish – bait: worms, stink bait, baits, dough, hot dogs, chicken liver, Cheese, crabs, minnows. Catfish are often not caught on bait. Bluegill – bait: worms, bread, hot dogs, barbecue. Bait: In line spinners, soft plastic Grubs and tubes, small crankbaits. Carp – Bait: worms, bread, corn, crabs. Carp do not often lures. Zander – bait, small fish, worms, leeches. Bait: crankbaits, spinner rigs tipped with a large grub, or "crawler in line spinners, grubs and minnow-style soft plastics. These are the most big fish you see in lakes. A good overall set-up is a float, sinker, hook and worm. You could catch all the fish I mentioned above with the rig.
