Salt water wade fishing?

Every time I go fishing at the end somehow I fall to my role in the salt water and useless. If anyone is familiar that with coastal fisheries know a good light I can reel for around $ 100 that I buy last longer than a few rides? Do I really need to spend up to $ 300 or more to to get a good role? I sure hope not.

I've been associated with Abu Garcia 6500c4. If I remember correctly, its around 100 dollars, but there are cheaper Versions of their roles, which are only good for bait, but can not as extravagant. I use them because they last a long time, and if you drop it in salt water. All I have to do is a few screws out, rinse with fresh water, let dry, then spray it with WD40. My father has only a few that he had years of 20 and have been around salt water all the time. And they still work great.
