Flats fishing in the Florida Keys?

the situation in northern Florida and fish the flats every chance I get. and I go down to the key Each year in late July to catch lobster, but still some time for fishing, but have always done what's in the deep sea. This year I want the opposite way go. My question is, where should I be, trout, redfish, snook and catch? Can I simply free line live bait in the grass flats? or do I need to find the mangroves? Thanks for any help

Key Largo is Islamorada, where you want to be. As you continue south towards Key West flats fishing for bluefin, go trout, Snook, reduced and will be by 'Cuda, permit, replace (small, "Spooky") bones, tarpon, shark, mangrove snapper, etc. You can rethink "" Your trip. Jerk baits Texas-rigged esp work well in a situation because they are weedless mangroves. A jig / live shrimp works everywhere! (lol) I'm originally from Jacksonville, Fla. vacationed, and in all keys for a year. PS: Do not forget your Fluro-carbon leader!
